Maska: Shirley Setia REVEALS the one habit of Manisha Koirala that she tried incorporating on set [EXCLUSIVE]

While chatting exclusively with BollywoodLife, Shirley Setia spoke about her experience on working with Manisha Koirala in her first film, while also elaborating about the behavior on the set of Maska of another of her costars, Prit.

Shirley Setia is one of the rising talents in the entertainment industry. Born and brought up in Auckland, New Zealand, Shirley has recently made her web-space debut with Netflix's Maska. Apart from Shirley, the film also stars Manisha Koirala, Javed Jaffrey, Prit Kamani and Kabir Singh fame Nikita Dutta. BollywoodLife got in touch with the singer-actress for a little chat, wherein she opened up on her acting debut along with her experience of working in Maska, her costars and how she’s spending her quarantine at home. On being asked about her experience of working with Manisha Koirala in her first film, Shirley said, "I had a few scenes with Manisha ma'am. Unse bhi Mujhe bohot seekhne ko mile (I got to learn a lot from her). She is very sweet and very supportive. But she is also very focused on set. You know, on set, she doesn't speak about other things. She is very focused and she is very in her character. To Mujhe two Cheez bohot acchhi lagi (I liked this aspect about her), and I was like, ‘Wow!’ Even at her level of experience, she is so focused and so much in character. When she is on set, she doesn't want to come out of it. She does it in a way that it helps her performance even more. Like, agar aap issi mindset mein rahoge, to woh jyada help karega (if you adapt this mindset, it’ll help you more). And woh bol ke nahi karte (she doesn’t talk about her work), I was just observing it. So, ye cheez Mujhe bohot hi acchhi lagi (I liked this a lot)." She also proceeded to elaborate about another of her costars, Prit, saying, "I, also, kind of incorporated it like I was not fooling around on sets. Joking around is fun, Prit does that a lot. Wo gaane bhi gaata rehta hai, sabko entertain bhi karta hai (He keeps singing, keeps entertaining everyone). It's a part of him. But because mera ye first experience tha, so I wanted to make sure that main pura focus hoke karu (I performed with my entire focus), main bhi apne hi mindset me this (in the character's mindset).
