Finally, the trailer of Ray is out. It is an anthology of films/stories starring the likes of Ali Fazal, Kay Kay Menon, Manoj Bajpayee, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor and others. The four stories that have been adapted for screen are Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, Forget Me Not, Bahrupiya, and Spotlight. The filmmakers helming the movies are Srijit Mukherjee, Vasan Bala and Abhishek Chaubey. The trailer is out today. Ali Fazal can be seen in the role of a high-flying corporate honcho. Ali Fazal has said that he is honoured to be a part of a project inspired by none other than Satyajit Ray. The actor said in a statement, "It is an honour to be a part of his universe, to be involved in a project that has such a strong connection with him. With Forget Me Not, we've drawn inspiration from him, his writings and tried to create a story that'll make you reminisce him while intriguing your thoughts."
Manoj Bajpayee who is basking in the success of The Family Man 2 is headling the film. He had said on Twitter that he is proud to be a part of a project that has such fine actors and directors on board. His segment is directed by Abhishek Chaubey of Sonchiriya fame. Gajraj Rao is also with him in the movie. He had tweeted before, "Excited to be a part of Ray an anthology of four passionately curated stories. Vastly varying in genres, these stories penned and inspired by Satyajit Ray, are full of thrills and a strong emotional core keeping you completely hooked till the end (sic)."
Netflix has a huge line up for India. It has 13 films and 15 series for the audience!
